As I’m in love with the lao cuisine since I’m a child, I've always wanted to share it as much as I can. That’s the reason why I decided to open cooking classes for foreigners visiting Luang Prabang.
My family cooking school was established in 2001 and I opened my own one, Bamboo tree school, in 2014 to make tourists discover how local ingredients are prepared & cooked in Laos.

COOKING CLASS SCHEDULE
Pick up time : 8.45 AM at the restaurant & returning at 2.00 PM.
08.45 AM - Meeting at the Bamboo tree restaurant (Vatsene village on Namkhan river-side). Welcoming with tea and coffee. Choosing recipes and arranging payment.
09.00 AM - Visiting « Pho see » market
10.00 AM - Welcoming in our Bamboo Tree Organic Garden. Visit of the garden full of organic vegetables.
10.50 AM - Bamboo weaving show with a professional bamboo craftsman from the neighboring village.
11.30 AM- Learning how to chop and cut the different ingredients, spices and vegetables. And the technique of « How to stuff lemongrass ».
12.05 AM - Cooking by yourself in traditional Lao way, under the guidance of our professional lao chef
01.00 PM - When the cooking is finished, enjoy your meal (cold drink will also be served).
After class & lunch, have a swim in the swimming pool, play with bamboo local games or petanque, have a walk in the garden...
If you want to hike up the mountain or visit the village,
it's possible with a supplement of 100 000 kips for the guide.
Price per person : 300 000 kips
Our price include : food, transportation, tea, coffee, drinking water, deserts, Lao traditional cocktail or Lao whisky, certificate of achievement and recipe book.
Please book 24 hours in advance with a deposit of 100.000 kips per person.
